SDSU Game Notes at UNLV

San Diego State looks to clinch a second consecutive winning season on Saturday as the Aztecs play at UNLV in the final road game of the 2011 campaign.

Saturday's contest will be televised live nationally on The Mtn. and is also available to San Diego Cox Cable subscribers on Channel 4 San Diego.

Having clinched bowl eligibility, SDSU can secure a second straight winning season with a victory on Saturday. San Diego State has not posted winning seasons in consecutive years since 1995 and 1996. In fact, including last season, the Aztecs own four winning campaigns in the last 19 years. Additionally, Rocky Long is attempting to become the first SDSU coach to post a winning campaign in his first season since Al Luginbill did it in 1989, when he finished with a 6-5-1 record.

San Diego State is also looking to improve on a 3-1 road record. The Aztecs have not won four road games in a single season since the 1986 squad did it. SDSU has won five of its last seven road games dating back to last year and has claimed five straight road contests against teams not ranked in the top 25 at game time.
