San Diego State Awaits Long Beach State for Saturday Showdown
* San Diego State, which is receiving votes in the Associated Press Top-25 Poll, continues its challenging schedule Saturday afternoon when Long Beach State visits Viejas Arena. The non-conference match-up between the two Cal State schools will air live on Channel 4 San Diego at 1:30 p.m. PT.

* For the third time this week, SDSU has one day to prepare for its opponent, in this case, Long Beach State. The 49ers, who are receiving the same amount of votes in the AP poll as the Aztecs (3), are coming off an impressive, 86-76, road win at ninth-ranked Pittsburgh on Wednesday. LBSU, the preseason Big West favorites, is also receiving three votes in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll.

* The Aztecs are fresh off a thrilling, 56-54, victory over USC Thursday night at a sold-out Viejas Arena. Jamaal Franklin led the team with 14 points, but it was Xavier Thames who lifted San Diego State as he made a length-of-the-court game-winning lay-up with 1.8 seconds left. Thames finished the game with 12 points.

Tough Out
* San Diego State has had great success over the years inside Viejas Arena. Since 2005-06, the Aztecs are 85-11 (.885) at Viejas, including 32-2 since the beginning of 2009-10.

* San Diego State carries some lengthy home winning streaks into the contest having won 36 straight against teams not ranked in the AP Top 25 and 26 in row vs. non-conference opponents.

A San Diego State Win Would...
* Extend San Diego State's winning streak to 47 games against unranked opponents.

* Extend San Diego State's November home winning streak vs. unranked foes to 19.

* Extend the Aztecs' winning streak over schools from the state of California to 17.

* Extend SDSU's November home winning streak to 10.

* Give the Aztecs five wins through the first six games for the fifth time in the last six years.
