SDSU to Play Fourth Game in Five Days at Nationally Ranked Baylor

* After winning three home games in three days to open the season, San Diego State will play its fourth game in five days on Tuesday at nationally ranked Baylor. The game is set for 1 p.m. CT on ESPN and is a part of the network's College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon.

* SDSU played host to the Basketball Travelers Classic over the weekend and defeated Bryant, Southern Utah and UC Davis by convincing double-figure margins.

* In the final game of the three-day event, which was against UC Davis, the Aztecs received a game-high 31 points in 27 minutes from sophomore Jamaal Franklin. Junior Chase Tapley added 23 points, his second 20-point effort of the campaign, and a career-high seven steals en route to MVP honors. Sophomore Xavier Thames, who earned all-tourney accolades, led all players with seven assists against one turnover.

One of the Elite
* At 3-0 in the early going, San Diego State is 37-3 (92.5 winning percentage) since the beginning of last season. A year ago, the Aztecs, who finished sixth in the final AP poll and 11th in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches' Poll, finished with a 34-3 record after winning the Mountain West regular-season and tournament championships and appearing in the Sweet 16.* The San Diego State program as a whole, when it comes to football and men's basketball, is the best in the country when it comes to winning percentage among FBS schools. Since the 2010 football campaign, the Aztecs are an impressive 52-10 (83.9 percent) in football and men's hoops. Ohio State trails in second place (41-8; 83.7 percent) and Wisconsin is third (45-13; 77.6 percent).

Holding Its Own
* San Diego State went 10-73 in its first 83 games vs. teams ranked in the AP Top-25. Things have certainly turned as SDSU is a respectable 8-10 in its last 18 against AP-ranked squads. In road/neutral games vs. AP-ranked foes, the Aztecs have split their last six, with all six being ranked in the top-15.
