San Diego State opens the 36th year of Aztec women's basketball on Monday when its plays host to first-time foe Arkansas-Pine Bluff at Viejas Arena at 7 p.m. PT.

-SDSU Head Coach Beth Burns: Burns (Ohio Wesleyan, 1979) is in the seventh year of her second stint as head coach at San Diego State. She led the Aztecs for eight seasons from 1989 to 1997, before returning in 2005. She has an overall head coaching record of 324-237 in 19 seasons, while she is 243-172 in her 14 previous campaigns at SDSU.
-Arkansas Pine-Bluff Head Coach Cary Shelton: Shelton is in his third year as the head coach of the Lady Lions, boasting a school and career record of 9-51.
-Series History: This is the first all-time meeting between San Diego State and Arkansas-Pine Bluff. The Aztecs boast a 6-1 program record vs. current members of the Southwestern Athletic Conference.
