SDSU Game Notes vs. New Mexico

Following a heartbreaking 30-27 loss last week to Wyoming, San Diego State looks to bounce back on Saturday at home against New Mexico. Game time is set for 5 p.m. PT.

The contest will be televised nationally on The Mtn., and is also available to San Diego Cox Cable subscribers on Channel 4 San Diego.

Trailing 30-14 at intermission last Saturday at the Q, the Aztecs dominated the second half, outgaining the Cowboys 260-104. SDSU pulled to within 30-27 late in the third quarter, but missed on field goal attempts of 39 and 27 yards in the final quarter and wasn't able to get back on the scoreboard.

The Aztecs, who have dropped consecutive home games for the first time since the 2009 campaign, are still 8-3 in their last 11 contests at Qualcomm.

San Diego State is two wins shy of becoming bowl eligible and is looking to go to bowl games in consecutive seasons for the first time in the Division I era and first time overall since 1966 and 1967.

Tickets for Saturday's contest start at just $11, and can be purchased online at GoAztecs.com, at the SDSU Qualcomm Stadium ticket office or by calling 619-283-7378.
