The San Diego State men's golf team competes in its second tournament of the fall campaign, when it participates in The Prestige at PGA West, Oct. 9-11, in La Quinta, Calif. This year's event will be held at the par-72, 7,156-yard Greg Norman course.

The Aztecs, who are ranked 14th nationally in the latest coaches' poll, are playing in The Prestige for the first time in its 12-year history. They will be facing some of the nation's top squads, including five in the top 25 alone with No. 4 and co-host Stanford, No. 11 USC, No. 13 Washington, No. 20 Oregon and No. 21 Duke. The Cardinal and Ducks are actually 1-2 nationally in both the golfstat.com and Golfweek/Sagarin rankings posted earlier this week.

Other schools filling the 16-team field include Arizona State, Long Beach State, Northwestern, Oregon State, Pepperdine, San Diego, UC Davis, UCF, USF and Vanderbilt.

The teams will play 18 holes each day with shotgun starts at 12:30 p.m. PT on Sunday and Monday and at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Live results will be available for all three rounds at golfstat.com.
