COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - San Diego State redshirt senior midfielder Cat Walker has been named Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week, while redshirt freshman goalkeeper Rachel Boaz was named Co-Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.

Walker scored two game-winning goals to help the Aztecs pocket a pair of 1-0 wins at Wyoming and Air Force last Friday and Sunday, respectively. Leading the team in both goals and points this season, the Folsom, Calif., native scored her seventh goal of the season against Wyoming in the sixth minute of play. The score came off of a pass from teammate Sophie Metz. Two days later at Air Force, the senior scored 59 seconds into overtime to give the Aztecs the victory. Walker scored the game-winner 10-yards out after receiving a pass from Kelsey Booth. Walker's two goals helped the Aztecs win their fourth straight on the road.

Boaz kept Wyoming and Air Force scoreless in last weekend's games. The first shutout came in Wyoming after the Murrieta, Calif., native stopped all four shots on goal keeping the Cowgirls scoreless for the first time at home during the 2011 season. The second shutout came after the redshirt freshman made her only save at the 29:30 mark of the first half against Air Force in SDSU's overtime win. With the two shutouts, Boaz has seven on the season and three in Mountain West play. The two victories helped Boaz lower her goals against average to 0.20 in league action. The redshirt freshman shares the co-defensive honor with UNLV sophomore goalkeeper Kylie Wassell.

The Aztecs head to Las Vegas this Friday to face the UNLV Rebels. The final game of the regular season is scheduled for a 4:30 p.m. PT start.
