The San Diego State women's tennis team won three singles matches and one doubles contest on Sunday at the USTA/ITA Southwest Regional Championship at Barnes Tennis Center.
Emma Cioffi was a double winner as she was victorious in both singles and doubles. The senior was trailing 4-0 in her tilt with Alison Ramos of USC, but the Woman of Troy withdrew due to injury, which gave the Aztec the win. In doubles, Cioffi paired with Dora Somoracz to defeat Tiffany Mai and Monica Rodriguez, 8-6.
Freshman Kristin Buth pocketed a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Karolina Rozenberg of Long Beach State, while sophomore Laura Antonana Iriarte posted a 7-6(3), 6-3 win against Hawai'i's Aglae Van den Bergh.
San Diego State returns to action Nov. 11 when it plays host to the SDSU Fall Classic II at Aztec Tennis Center.
The USTA/ITA Southwest Regional Championship, meanwhile, concludes Monday at Barnes Tennis Center.
