AZTECS VISIT TCU AND NEW MEXICO FOR TELEVISED CONFERENCE MATCHES
San Diego State hits the road this week for a pair of Mountain West matches. The Aztecs will be in Fort Worth, Texas, take on TCU on Thursday, Oct. 6, at 7:00 p.m. (CT) in the Student Recreation Center. The match vs. the Horned Frogs will be televised live on The MTN network. SDSU continues league play on Sunday, Oct. 9, with a contest against New Mexico at noon (MT) in the Lobos' Johnson Center. Sunday afternoon's match will be televised live nationally on CBS Sports Network.
WIN NO. 200
With the win over Wyoming last week (Sept. 29), San Diego State Head Coach Deitre Collins-Parker recorded her 200th career victory. She is in her 15th season as a collegiate head coach having previously held that position at UNLV and Colgate. Collins-Parker's milestone wins:

SERIES RECORDS
San Diego State and TCU have met 14 times in the past with each school winning on seven occasions. The Horned Frogs have captured three of the last four meetings between the teams and six of the last eight since 2007. The Aztecs are 3-4 vs. TCU in Fort Worth and 4-3 in Peterson Gym. San Diego State's last win on the Frogs' home court came in 2008.
The Aztecs' all-time record against New Mexico stands at 28-18 since the teams first met in 1991. The Lobos have had the upper hand in recent years, winning seven of the last eight matches since 2007. The series goes back to 1976 and schools have met annually since 1990 when both were members of the Western Athletic Conference. SDSU has a 9-10 mark against the Lobos in Albuquerque, 14-8 in San Diego and 5-0 on neutral courts.
HANNASCH LEADS THE OFFENSE
Hannasch led the Aztecs in kills in both of their matches last week (vs. Wyoming and Colorado State). Her .429 hitting percentage against Wyoming was her second-highest mark in a match this season. Against Wyoming, she led all players with seven blocks and averaged 5.17 points per set in the three-set victory. Junior middle blocker Andrea Hannasch leads the San Diego State offense in kills, blocks, service aces and points. She has recorded a pair of double-doubles (kills-blocks) this season, the fourth and fifth of her Aztec career.
PEARSON LEADING THE WAY
Senior Paije Pearson hit double figures in kills in both of SDSU's matches last week as she averaged 3.00 per set along with 1.71 digs per set. After the first two weeks of conference play, she leads the team at 3.30 kills per set in league contests. That mark ranks sixth in the conference this week.
SHELTON SOLID UP FRONT
Sophomore Raegan Shelton averaged 3.20 kills per set in last week's contests against Wyoming and Colorado State while hitting .467 over the two matches. Her .667 attack percentage (10k-0e-15att) against Wyoming was a career high.
FOUCH ON THE BLOCK
Setter Johnna Fouch set a career high with six total blocks in the win over Wyoming on Sept. 29. Her five blocks assists were her personal best as an Aztec as well. She has averaged 1.11 blocks per set over the Aztecs last three matches. She also averaged 12.33 assists per set in that match vs. the Cowgirls.
JACKELS DIGGIN' IT
Junior libero Kristi Jackels has joined the 1,000 dig club for her two-plus year career as an Aztec and enters the week with 1,105 digs to rank sixth on the SDSU all-time list. She ranks first in the conference this week with an average of 0.70 service aces per set in league matches. She is also second in digs in Mountain West play at 4.40 per set. Jackels has reached double figures in digs in every match with a high of 26 vs. Tulane on Sept. 2.
THE RECORD BOOK
A trio of Aztecs will make their marks in the SDSU career record listings before the end of the 2011 season. Libero Kristi Jackels' 1,105 digs is seventh on the Aztec top 10. Sixth place is currently held by Angela Martin (1987-90) with 1,134 career digs. Sophomore setter Johnna Fouch has moved into the No. 10 spot in career assists with 1,784. Former Aztec Stacy Bollinger (1991-93) ranks ninth on the list with 1,839 assists. In addition, Andrea Hannasch needs 21 block assists to catch Rene Pankopf (1983-86) for the No. 10 spot on that list
AMONG THE MOUNTAIN WEST LEADERS
After the first five weeks of the season, three Aztecs appear among the top 10 in the Mountain West in various statistical categories both overall and in Mountain West matches only. (Stats are per set except for hitting percentage).
