SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State football team returns to action Saturday as it opens Mountain West play against defending Rose Bowl champion TCU to highlight Homecoming Weekend. The first 28,000 fans in attendance to the 7:30 p.m. PT contest at Qualcomm Stadium will receive a free Marshall Faulk No. 28 hat, courtesy of Associated Students.

Other festivities are also planned for the team's conference opener against the Horned Frogs as a pep rally has been scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6 in front of Hepner Hall. Marshall Faulk will be the guest of honor.

Faulk will be the honorary Aztec Warrior for Saturday's game, making an appearance on the field prior to team introductions. Faulk will also be recognized at halftime for his recent induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Mayor Jerry Sanders will present him with a Proclamation from the City.

Tickets, which start at just $11 (sections limited), are available through GoAztecs.com, over the phone by calling (619) 283-7378, or by visiting the Aztec Ticket Office at Qualcomm Stadium's Window "E" between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Aztec Ticket Office will open at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday for the general public and San Diego State students.

Main parking gates will open at 11:30 a.m. and fans are encouraged to welcome the San Diego State football squad to "The Q" at the Warrior Walk, scheduled for 5:30 p.m. between parking lots E & F. After greeting the team at the Warrior Walk, fans and alumni can visit the Aztec Village in parking lot F-1. The Aztec Village features food and beverages for purchase, as well as live entertainment, performances by the Marching Aztecs, SDSU dance team and cheer squad.
