After a five-game homestand, the San Diego State women's basketball team plays its first road outing since Dec. 19, traveling to Las Vegas, Nev., for a Tuesday contest at UNLV at Cox Pavilion. Game time is set for a late 8 p.m. PT tip-off and will be broadcast live on The Mtn. with Tracy Warren (play-by-play) and Linda Sharp (analysis) calling the action. The match-up with the Lady Rebels is the second of three-straight nationally televised games for the Aztecs.

Both sides will take the court Tuesday looking for their first league victory of 2011. SDSU has dropped a pair of heartbreakers, losing to TCU last Wednesday and to Utah in overtime on Saturday. The Aztecs' two league losses are by a combined five points and gives the team four defeats by three or fewer points this season.

San Diego State, which is currently 6-8 overall, has owned an early double-figure lead in both MWC contests, only to find itself down by 12 or more points in the second half. In each instance, the Aztecs have then rallied to either take the lead (vs. Utah) or get to within a single possession (vs. TCU) in the final minutes, but still come up without the victory.

UNLV, meanwhile, is 7-9 on the year and played two conference road contests last week, falling 75-64 at BYU and 68-60 at TCU. The Lady Rebels just finished a five-game stint away from home and are 4-4 on the year on their home court with wins over two common opponents with the Aztecs in USD and Nevada.

Wednesday's 42nd all-time meeting between SDSU and UNLV will feature a live audio call by Chris Ello, as well as live stats on SDSU's official website, goaztecs.com.
