San Diego State, which is off to a 3-0 start for the first time since 1981 and owns the nation's third-longest active winning streak at five games dating back to last season, travels to the Eastern time zone for the second time in three weeks to face No. 22/21 Michigan on Saturday afternoon in Ann Arbor.
The game feature two of the 33 remaining undefeated teams (only 27 of which are 3-0) and is one of just seven games this week between unbeaten teams.
Game time is set for noon ET (9 a.m. PT) and the contest will be televised nationally in high definition on the Big Ten Network.
The teams have met only once before, with then 17th-ranked Michigan claiming a 24-21 victory on Sept. 18, 2004, in Ann Arbor.
