Megan Jurado scored two second half goals to lead the San Diego State women's soccer team to a 3-0 victory over Hawai'i in the first game of the UNLV Nike Invitational Friday in Las Vegas, Nev. The Aztecs, who also received a goal from Hannah Keane, improved to 5-2-2 with the win, while the Rainbow Wahine dropped to 1-7.

Keane got SDSU on the scoreboard in the 26th minute when she took a pass from Carli Johnson and blasted it off Hawai'i goalkeeper Kanani Taaca and into the back of the net. It was Keene's third goal of the season.

San Diego State went into halftime with an 8-1 advantage on net, including a 4-0 lead in shots on goal, and had all three corner kicks.

The Aztecs wasted no time in the second half when Jurado scored the first of her two goals at the 46:36 mark. Jurado placed it into the upper-right corner from 20 yards out off a pass from Hayley Palmer.

About 12 minutes later, Jurado put the game out of reach with another shot towards the upper-right corner that beat Taaca. It was Jurado's second goal of the season (and game), while Johnson was credited with her second assist of the season (and game).

SDSU won the shot battle, 12-10, while the Rainbow Wahine owned a 4-3 corner kick advantage.

Jurado, Keane, Jensen Skinner and Cat Walker had two shots apiece for San Diego State.

Rachel Boaz and Megan Allaire combined for the shutout. Boaz made one save over 70:02, while Allaire had two stops over the final 19:58.

The Aztecs continue their play in the UNLV Nike Invitational Sunday when they meet Seattle at 10:30 a.m. PT.
