NEW ORLEANS - The Tulane athletic department has announced a schedule change for this weekend's Allstate Sugar Bowl Collegiate Classic due to the threat of inclement weather from Tropical Storm Lee, which is forecasted to produce heavy rains and winds in the New Orleans area.
"We believe moving our game times is in the best interest of our fans and the participants involved in this weekend's events," Tulane Director of Athletics Rick Dickson said.
The change means that the start time of San Diego State's match against Tulane this evening (Friday, Sept. 2) has been moved up one hour to 6:00 p.m. (CT). In addition, SDSU's contest against Southern Illinois, scheduled for a 5:30 p.m. start Saturday evening, has been canceled. Each team in the tournament will now play only two matches.
The new schedule of events is included below, with Saturday's game times still subject to change.
Friday, September 2
4:00 p.m. - William & Mary vs. Southern Illinois
6:00 p.m. - Tulane vs. San Diego State
Saturday, September 3
10:00 a.m. - San Diego State vs. William & Mary
Noon - Tulane vs. Southern Illinois
