SAN DIEGO - San Diego State's 2011 men's soccer recruiting class has received a No. 35 national ranking from College Soccer News. It is the sixth time in the last seven seasons the Aztecs have been ranked in the top 40.

The 2011 incoming class consists of eight players, including four college transfers and four high school prospects. The accolades of the group include, but not are limited to, two under-18 U.S. National Team members, a high school All-American, a youth All-American, three adidas ESP participants, a state player of the year as well as multiple starters on regional ODP teams.

The Aztecs are one of four Pac-12 squads to receive top-40 rankings. Stanford picked up a No. 10 ranking, with California (No. 13) and UCLA (No. 21) were also included. SDSU's No. 35 class ranked ahead of Florida Gulf Coast (No. 36), Creighton (No. 37), Northwestern (No. 38), UC Irvine (No. 39) and three schools tied for No. 40, which includes William and Mary, Evansville and Syracuse.

San Diego State kicks off their 2011 campaign when they host UNLV in a preseason friendly, beginning at 1 p.m. PT at SDSU Sports Deck. Admission is free.
