SAN DIEGO - The highly acclaimed San Diego State Women's Football Academy will once again return to SDSU this weekend. The third annual event will take place on Saturday, August 6, at the Fowler Athletics Center. Led by head football coach Rocky Long and his staff, the WFA is a fun, one-day camp to teach women everything they need to know about football.

WFA students will receive a complete education by participating in staff-instructed drills, a film session and a scrimmage. All students will also receive an exclusive Women's Football Academy t-shirt and a gift bag filled with great SDSU gear.

All proceeds from the Academy will benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure, San Diego, for breast cancer research. Last year, more than 120 event participants came together to raise $6,000, which improved upon the debut year's total of 80 participants and $3,800 in donations.

Tuition for the day is $40 per person. To register or for more information, please contact Paula Davila with SDSU Athletics at 619-594-7197 or pdavila@mail.sdsu.edu.
