SAN DIEGO - San Diego State women's water polo student-athletes Kelly Campoli, Amber Pezzolla, Leanne Ford and Meaghan Poland were all named honorable mention All-Americans by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches. The four honorees matches the school record set in 2009.

For Campoli, this marks her third career All-America award in three seasons at San Diego State. The goalkeeper, who completed her junior campaign in 2011, finished with 335 saves and a goals-against average of 8.14. The Lake Forest, Calif., native also assisted on 15 goals and added 22 steals. Her saves total was the most in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation and her 10.44 saves-per-game average ranked second in the league.

Pezzolla is a two-time honoree after scoring 39 goals and assisting on 38, while leading the Aztecs with 76 steals. The utility from San Dimas, Calif., also drew 22 ejections in her 33 games played. Pezzolla posted the most goals scored by one SDSU player this past season when she netted six goals vs. Michigan on Feb. 13.

Ford is a first-time All-American and garners the award after leading San Diego State with 59 goals. The two-meter defender also finished with the third-most steals (57) and recorded 18 assists in 2011. In the Feb. 27 game vs. Arizona State, Ford had six steals, which was tied for the most by an Aztec this past season along with Pezzolla (twice) and Alex Ford.

Like Ford, Poland is an All-American for the first time in her career. The utility from Wildomar, Calif., scored 53 goals to rank second on the team behind Ford, and added 30 steals and five assists. Poland also drew 58 ejections, which was the second-highest figure on the squad behind Ronni Gautschi's 61.

This is the 16th consecutive year in which SDSU has had a student-athlete earn All-America status and the fifth season in a row in which multiple athletes garnered All-America honors.

San Diego State is coming off its school-record sixth straight 20-win campaign and all four All-Americans are set to return in 2012.
