CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - San Diego State women's golfers Malin Enarsson and Alessia Knight have been recognized as 2010-11 All-America Scholar recipients by the National Golf Coaches Association, it was announced today.
Enarsson, who just completed her junior season at SDSU, is studying kinesiology. Knight, meanwhile, wrapped up her sophomore campaign and is a communications major. Both helped the Aztecs to their second straight NCAA Regional berth this past season, something that had never been accomplished in program history.
The criteria for selection to the NGCA All-America Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative grade-point average is 3.50.
The Aztec duo was also honored in late June by the Mountain West as both were all-academic selections and scholar-athletes.
