The highest GPA among the 50 student-athletes selected was a 3.88 in anthropology by freshman softball player Katelyn Mathis.
In addition, the women's track and field squad had 11 of its members selected, while women's tennis had six individuals followed by baseball, softball and men's tennis with five apiece.
To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at their school while maintaining a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor to their team.
