DES MOINES, Iowa - San Diego State freshman Allison Reaser moved up three places and finished 18th to lead San Diego State at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships Friday at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa.

Reaser finished the two-day, seven-event competition with 5,156 points. Reaser was 34 points behind 17th-place Lucie Ondraschkova of Georgia (5,190). Kansas State's Ryann Krais defeated the other 23 other entrants with 5,961 points. Reaser, who was seeded 13th in the heptathlon coming into the championships, would have finished eighth if she matched her score of 5,408 that she accumulated when she won the Mountain West Conference Championships on May 11-12.

In the third consecutive day of rainy and stormy weather, Reaser finished 12th of the group in the long jump with a leap of 18 feet, 2 ½ inches. Reaser's best long jump of the season was 19-9 ¾ at the MWC meet.

In the javelin, Reaser finished 11th among the heptathletes with a toss of 117-7, close to her season-best mark of 124-2 (set at the MWC Championships).

After a delay due to inclement weather, Reaser set a collegiate personal best in the 800-meter run with a time of 2 minutes, 25.79 seconds. It was 17th-fastest time of the 22 competitors left in the field.

With her 18th-place finish, Reaser was named an honorable mention All-American by USTFCCCA.

In the pole vault, redshirt sophomore Kelsy Hintz no heighted along with four other athletes. Hintz, who came into the weekend seeded 12th in the event, failed to clear the opening height of 12-9 ½. Hintz had cleared 13-0 in five consecutive meets prior to the meet.

Whitney Ashley, who took seventh in the discus on Wednesday, will look to score again in tomorrow's shot put, which gets underway at 11 a.m. CT.

After 14 of 21 events, the Aztecs are tied for 50th of the 131 competing teams with two points.
