SAN DIEGO - San Diego State head coach Steve Fisher and members of the 2010-11 Aztec men's basketball team will be honored prior to the San Diego Padres baseball game on Thursday, May 19. Team captain D.J. Gay is scheduled to throw out the first pitch.

The team will be recognized on an evening where the Padres play host to the Milwaukee Brewers at PETCO Park. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m. PT.

SDSU student-athletes who are scheduled to be in attendance include Mehdi Cheriet, Jamaal Franklin, LaBradford Franklin, Gay, James Rahon, Tim Shelton, Chase Tapley and Alec Williams. Joining the players on the field will be the Aztec coaching staff.

The San Diego State band is also slated to appear and will play the National Anthem along with the fight song during the inning break.

The Aztecs are coming off a banner season in which they won a school-record 34 games, won their first-ever Division I NCAA postseason game and advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. SDSU was ranked in the top 25 all season long and earned a program-best ranking of No. 4 during its MWC championship campaign. San Diego State finished the year ranked No. 6 in the Associated Press poll and No. 11 in the ESPN/USA Today rankings.
