SALT LAKE CITY - Friday's San Diego State-Utah softball game in Salt Lake City was stopped due to inclement weather in the bottom of the third inning with the Aztecs leading, 7-0. The game will resume at 11 a.m. MT Saturday and will be followed by a second game at 1 p.m. MT, which will be broadcast live on The Mtn.
Tomorrow's game will be resume in the bottom of the third inning with the Utes' Jackie Sweet at the plate and Kelsi Hoopiana on first base after a leadoff single. It was the first hit allowed by SDSU junior pitcher Bailey Micetich (Woodland, Calif.), who retired the first six batters she faced.
Offensively, senior Jen Wisneski (Riverside, Calif.) hit a three-run homer, her third straight game with a home run, and sophomore Kristin May (Corona, Calif.) added a solo homer. Redshirt senior Lindsey Marquez (Tustin, Calif.) had an RBI double, while freshmen Lorena Klopp (San Diego/Steele Canyon HS) and Hayley Miles (Antelope, Calif.) each contributed RBI singles.
