The San Diego State softball team tied a school record with its 13th consecutive victory in a 17-2, five-inning win over Colorado State Sunday in Fort Collins, Colo. The Aztecs (27-14, 3-0 Mountain West Conference), who are receiving votes in the latest ESPN.com/USA Softball poll, have also won 17 of their last 18 games and 19 of their last 22.

The 13 straight victories are tied with the 2006 team and the 2003 squad for the most in program history. Both of those teams made the NCAA tournament.

SDSU banged out 12 hits and drew a season-high 13 walks in the win, while junior Bailey Micetich (Woodland, Calif.) tossed a complete game, allowing just two runs (one earned) on three hits and two walks. She struck out six and has now won nine straight decisions.

Senior Jessica Camello (Temecula, Calif.) had three hits, scored four runs and drove in two to lead the San Diego State offense, while freshman Hayley Miles (Antelope, Calif.) had three hits, including two doubles, and had four RBIs.

Freshman Lorena Klopp (San Diego/Steele Canyon HS) was 2-for-2 with a double, four RBIs and a run. Her four RBIs give her 42 for the season, breaking Kelcy Murphy's school season record of 41 set in 2002.

Redshirt senior Lindsey Marquez (Tustin, Calif.) had two hits, including a double, two RBIs and two runs, and senior Jen Wisneski (Riverside, Calif.) extended her career-long hitting streak to 13 games (all Aztec wins) with a single. In addition, senior Eva Sahatdjian (Fresno, Calif.) homered for the first time this season.

SDSU plays host to Utah (Thursday, 6 p.m. PT) and Brigham Young (Friday, 6 p.m. PT and Saturday, 1 p.m. PT) next weekend.
