GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala - San Diego State men's soccer players Jordan Ongaro (Edmonton, Alberta) and John Pegg (Edmonton, Alberta) fell one win short of reaching the FIFA U-20 World Cup on Tuesday, as the Canada Under-20 National Team was defeated by Mexico, 3-0, in Guatemala City, Guatemala.

Both Ongaro and Pegg made solid contributions to Canada's run to the quarterfinals of the 2011 CONCACAF Championships, logging significant minutes throughout the course of the tournament. Pegg started the first two games of the tournament and played all 180 minutes in those games, while Ongaro started and played all 90 minutes in Tuesday's defeat.

The two Aztecs also made significant contributions in exhibition play earlier this year. Pegg scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 Canada win over Trinidad and Tobago back on February 10, while Ongaro assisted on both Canada goals in a 2-1 victory over Florida Gulf Coast on February 11.
