San Diego State announced its complete football schedule Thursday for the 2011 campaign under first-year head coach Rocky Long. The 12-game slate opens up with four non-conference match-ups and features seven Aztec home outings, the most regular-season home contests the Red and Black have played in a single year since 1995.

SDSU will begin 2011 in San Diego at Qualcomm Stadium on Sept. 3, against FCS opponent Cal Poly. The Aztecs will then travel across the country the following week to West Point, N.Y., for the football program's first-ever meeting with the tradition-rich Army Black Knights.

On Sept. 17, SDSU returns home and squares off against their only Pac-12 opponent of the season in Washington State. The Aztecs and the Cougars have played each other once previously during the 2007 campaign in Seattle.

Prior to the start of MWC action, SDSU completes its non-league schedule on the road in a highly-anticipated game at Michigan on Sept. 24.

After a week off, SDSU opens up Mountain West Conference action at home on Oct. 8, against 2011 Rose Bowl champions TCU. This contest will mark the last time the Aztecs and the Horned Frogs will meet in MWC play, as TCU will move onto the Big East Conference in 2012.

SDSU takes on Air Force in Colorado Springs, Colo., on Oct. 15, before having its second off week. The Aztecs will then play six straight games to close out the 2011 season, starting with home dates with Wyoming (Oct. 29) and New Mexico (Nov. 5) and a road outing against Colorado State (Nov. 12).

On Saturday, Nov. 19, San Diego State returns to Qualcomm Stadium to play host to new MWC arrival, Boise State. The Broncos have received bowl invitations in nine consecutive seasons and have recorded two Fiesta Bowl victories in the past five years.

The Aztecs will then have their final road game and conference match-up of the season on Nov. 26, in Las Vegas, Nev., against UNLV, who the Aztecs have bested in four of their last five meetings. SDSU closes out its schedule with one additional game at Qualcomm Stadium on Dec. 3, against future MWC member Fresno State, which joins the league in 2012.

The San Diego State football team is coming off of its most successful season in recent memory, finishing the 2010 campaign with a 9-4 record and beating Navy 35-14 in the 2010 Poinsettia Bowl to record the school's first bowl game victory since 1969. The Aztecs will return seven all-conference selections for the 2011 season, including explosive sophomore running back Ronnie Hillman, 2010 conference passing leader Ryan Lindley and conference sack-leader Miles Burris.

Promotional events, kick-off times and television schedules for all SDSU games will be added as they are announced.
