SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State softball team split a doubleheader Friday at the San Diego Classic II. The Aztecs (14-14) shut out Wisconsin, 6-0, before falling to Louisville, 7-0.

In the opener, junior Bailey Micetich (Woodland, Calif.) tossed a complete game four-hit shutout to lead SDSU over the Badgers (14-8). The right-hander struck out eight and walked none over seven innings to improve to 9-7 on the season.

Senior Jessica Camello (Temecula, Calif.) had two hits and scored two runs to lead the San Diego State offense. Senior Eva Sahatdjian (Fresno, Calif.) (three RBIs) and sophomore Kamerin May (Corona, Calif.) (two RBIs) combined to drive in five runs, while freshman Hayley Miles (Antelope, Calif.) walked twice and drove in the other run for the Aztecs.

The nightcap wasn't as kind for SDSU as the offense only managed three hits in the 7-0 loss to the Cardinals (16-8).

Camello had two of the hits, while junior Ashley Rose (Antioch, Calif.) added the other.

Senior All-American Samantha Beasley (San Diego/Steele Canyon HS) took the loss after giving up four runs on six hits and three walks over 3 1/3 innings. May (2 H, 3 R, 1 ER, 2 BB) pitched 2 2/3 innings of relief, while freshman Lorena Klopp (San Diego/Steele Canyon HS) allowed two hits and struck out one over the final inning.

San Diego State continues its play in the second San Diego Classic tomorrow with games against Ohio State (2 p.m. PT) and Ohio (7 p.m. PT).
