SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State men's tennis team got an impressive 5-2 victory over the No. 53 ranked Princeton Tigers in their first match of the SDSU-USD Invitational at the Aztec Tennis Center Thursday afternoon.

The Aztecs (2-9) got an early victory in doubles thanks to the duo of Hunter Nicholas and Giovanni Vaglietti who had a 9-7 victory over Matija Pecotic and Matt Siow. The clinching doubles victory came in match #3 with a win from Andre Feliz and Jose Sierra Short who beat Yohej Shoji and Dan Davies 8-1.

The Aztecs won four of the six singles matches. The four wins were highlighted by Giovanni Vaglietti's win over Matija Pecotic 7-5, 2-6, 7-6 (7-4). Tim Schulz van Endert was victorious with a hard fought win over Augie Bloom 6-3, 5-7, 6-2.

San Diego State continues the SDSU-USD Invitational tomorrow afternoon.
