SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to No. 29 Oklahoma on Sunday afternoon at the Aztec Tennis Center.
The Aztecs (1-9) fell behind early in doubles by losing the first two to give Oklahoma the doubles point. However, SDSU did get a victory at No. 1 as the duo of Hunter Nicholas and Giovanni Vaglietti defeated Peerakit Siributwong and Costin Paval, 8-6.
In singles play, the Aztecs were unable to gain momentum as Oklahoma clinched the match at No. 3 when No. 105 Peerakit Siributwong defeated Tim Schulz van Endert, 6-4, 6-2. SDSU dropped its next two matches, but finished strong as Andre Feliz earned a 2-6, 6-1, 6-4 victory against Tsvetan Mihov at No. 5
San Diego State will participate in the SDSU-USD Invitational this weekend at the Aztec Tennis Center, with action scheduled Thursday, March 17 through Saturday, March 19.
