COLLEGE STATION, Texas - For the second consecutive day, the San Diego State softball team split a pair of games at the Aggie Invitational in College Station, Texas. The Aztecs (10-13) defeated Louisiana Tech, 11-3, in Saturday's opener before falling to No. 22/24 Texas A&M, 7-1, in the nightcap.

Against the Lady Techsters (6-18), SDSU broke open a 2-2 game with nine straight runs in the 11-3 rout. San Diego State had a season-high 16 hits and a season-high five doubles in the win.

Senior Jessica Camello (Temecula, Calif.) was 3-for-3 with three RBIs, three runs and a walk to lead the offense. Freshman Lorena Klopp (San Diego/Steele Canyon HS) (2-for-4, two RBIs), redshirt senior Lindsey Marquez (Tustin, Calif.) (2-for-4, run, walk), junior Ashley Rose (Antioch, Calif.) (2-for-4, two runs), senior Eva Sahatdjian (Fresno, Calif.) (2-for-3, two runs, RBI, walk) and senior Jen Wisneski (Riverside, Calif.) (2-for-4, two RBIs, run) each added two hits apiece, while sophomore Kamerin May (Corona, Calif.) hit a two-run home run in San Diego State's five-run sixth inning.

Junior Bailey Micetich (Woodland, Calif.) went the distance for the Aztecs, surrendering three runs on eight hits and a walk over seven innings. She struck out eight to improve to 6-7 on the season.

In the nightcap, SDSU gave up six runs to the host Aggies (19-6) over the first two innings and never recovered in the 7-1 loss.

San Diego State got its lone run in the top of the second inning when sophomore Kristin May (Corona, Calif.) hit a one-out solo homer, her first of the season.

Marquez, Kamerin May and Wisneski added singles for the Aztecs.

Senior All-American Samantha Beasley (San Diego/Steele Canyon HS) (3-5) took the loss after giving up seven runs (six earned) on 10 hits and three walks over 5 1/3 innings. She struck out seven. Kamerin May struck out one and allowed one hit over 2/3 innings of relief.

Amber Garza, Rhiannon Kliesing and Natalie Villareal each homered for Texas A&M, which was coming off a 15-1 win over Mississippi Valley State earlier in the day.

SDSU wraps up its play in the Aggie Classic tomorrow with a game against Mississippi Valley State, beginning at 10 a.m. CT.
