SAN DIEGO - San Diego State sophomore forward Kawhi Leonard has been named a second-team All-American by FOXSports.com's senior college basketball writer Jeff Goodman.

A native of Riverside, Calif., Leonard is averaging a team-best 15.2 points, 10.8 rebounds and 1.5 steals, while adding 2.6 assists per game. The sophomore has 21 double-doubles this season, which ranks fourth nationally, and his rebounding total is the seventh-best average in the nation.

The All-America recognition comes after Leonard was named to the all-Mountain West Conference first team for a second consecutive season and to the MWC all-defensive squad.
