GENERAL TEAM NOTES

* With three home games remaining, all of which have been sold out for more than a month, San Diego State has broken the single-season attendance record after just 12 games (137,785 total; 10,535 per game). The old record was set during the 2008-09 season over 18 games (126,420 total; 7,023 per game). The 2008-09 campaign included a second-round NIT game that was played at USD, which was considered a home contest. Prior to this season, the Viejas Arena-only attendance was 125,135 (7,821 per game), which was set in 2006-07.

* San Diego State continues its best start to a season with record of 24-1. Prior to this season, the Aztecs best record after 25 games was 21-4 in 1966-67 when the Aztecs played at the Division II level.

* The Aztecs improve to 9-1 in league play, which matches the 2005-06 team for the best Mountain West start in school history.

* SDSU's 24 victories matches No. 1 Ohio State's total, which is the most in the nation. The 24 victories are tied for the second most in a single-season in school history, trailing only the 26-10 record compiled by the 2008-09 squad.

* San Diego State has won 33 straight games vs. unranked teams at any location.

* The Aztecs have won 29 consecutive home games vs. unranked foes.

* SDSU runs its home court winning streak to 17 games and has won 10 straight home contests vs. Mountain West Conference schools. The overall home winning streak was the eighth longest nationally entering tonight.

* San Diego State's 50 rebounds tonight were a season high.

* The Aztecs have won four consecutive games. That is the longest active win streak among Mountain West Conference teams.

* SDSU is 3-0 this season playing on Tuesday and has won its last nine games played on the day.

GENERAL SERIES NOTES

* This was the largest margin of victory for San Diego State over Utah in the 70 all-time meetings between the teams. The Aztecs previous largest margin was 13 points, which occurred on Jan. 30, 1982, and Feb. 28, 1987.

* The Aztecs have won four straight over Utah for the first time in the history of the series.

* San Diego State has swept the season series for the third time in the history of the series (1982, 2010 and 2011).

* SDSU has swept the season series for the second consecutive campaign, marking the first time the feat has been accomplished in school history.

PLAYER NOTES

* D.J. Gay (15 points, 6 assists, 5 steals, 0 turnovers) - Posted his 14th double-figure scoring effort the season... Tied his career high with five steals and had a season-high six assists... Now has 10 turnover-free games this year, including three straight... Has 29 assists against two turnovers over his last seven games.

* Billy White (15 points, 3 rebounds) - Scored in double figures in consecutive games for the first time since doing so vs. Wichita State and at California... Reached double figures in scoring for the 11th time this season... In his last two games, he has made 12 of his 14 free-throw attempts.

* Jamaal Franklin (13 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists) - Set a career high for points scored. rebounds and assists in a game... Posted his first career double-double... Also had his first career double-figure scoring game... Logged his first career steal.

* Kawhi Leonard (12 points, 14 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals) - Has a double-double in seven of the last eight games, 17 double-doubles this season and 34 for his career... The 17 double-doubles matches his freshman total and is tied for fourth most in a single season in SDSU history... Posted his 22nd double-figure scoring game of the season and his 46th of his career.

* Brian Carlwell (10 points, 2 blocks) - Reached double figures in scoring for the second time this season and first time since scoring 11 vs. UC Santa Barbara... Set a season high for field goals made (five)... Posted his fifth multiple block outing of the campaign.

* Malcolm Thomas (8 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 blocks) - Logged his eighth double-figure rebounding game of the season and his 27th of his career... Now has 15 multiple block games this season... His five assists is one shy of his career high.

* James Rahon (8 points) - Has made a three-point field goal for a season-high 11th straight game... Has now made 10 of his last 19 three-point field goals.
