THIS WEEK
The San Diego State swimming and diving team will attempt to secure its first Mountain West Conference regular season dual meet championship with a perfect record when it faces Wyoming on Friday, Jan. 28, at noon at the Aztec Aquaplex. Entering the week, the Aztecs' record stands at 7-0 in MWC meets with only the Cowgirls remaining on their 2010-11 league slate. SDSU has already clinched at least a tie for the regular season title as second-place Brigham Young has one conference loss on it record. On Saturday, Jan. 29, the Aztecs will travel to La Jolla, Calif., for a double dual meet against UC San Diego and Hawai'i at UCSD's Canyonview Pool. The first event is scheduled to get underway at noon.

SENIOR DAY
With Friday's meet vs. Wyoming being the final home contest of the season, the Aztecs will take the opportunity to honor five senior swimmers who will be making their final appearances for SDSU at the Aquaplex. That group includes Kim Bierwith, Allison Hall, Emilee Jennings, Allison Stuhr and Brooke Vessey.

HEAD COACH MIKE SHRADER
SDSU head coach Mike Shrader is in his fourth season with the Aztecs and has compiled a dual meet record of 46-13 (.780) during his tenure. Shrader was named the Mountain West Conference Coach of the Year at the conclusion of MWC championship meet each of the past two seasons (co-coach in 2009). His career record including eight seasons at Nevada stands at 135-25-1 (.842).

MEIER SETS THREE DIVING RECORDS
Junior Kristen Meier broke her won school record in the 3-meter diving event with a score of 323.75 during the meet at Cal State Bakersfield on Jan. 15. She also holds the Aztec record in the 1-meter and platform diving as well. For her efforts, Meier was named the Mountain West Conference Diver of the Week for the second consecutive week. It marked the third time she has received the league honor this season. Meier has won both the 1-meter and 3-meter events at each of SDSU's last three dual meet. She has qualified for the Zone E regional meet in both boards as well. That competition is scheduled for March 10-12 at the University of Minnesota.

AZTECS ENJOYING BEST SEASON EVER
San Diego State's 15 wins this season is a record for the swimming and diving program. The previous high was 14 set last season. The team is also having its best conference season in program history with last season's 5-3 mark standing as the previous best. With four dual meets remaining in the 2010-11 season, the Aztecs' 15-0 record is the top winning percentage in a season for the swimmers and divers.

NON-CONFERENCE WIN STREAK
With last weekend's three dual meet wins, SDSU extended its streak of 35 straight dual meet victories against non-conference opponents. The last loss to a non-MWC team was a defeat at North Texas on Nov. 17, 2006. In head coach Mike Shrader's three-plus seasons, the Aztecs have not lost to a non-conference foe.

THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME
San Diego State has also runs its home dual meet win streak to nine going back to last season. With victories in its six contests at home during the 2010-11 campaign, SDSU's record at the Aztec Aquaplex stands at 25-3 since the facility opened in the spring of 2008.
