The San Diego State women's basketball team finishes out a five-game homestand with its second consecutive Mountain West Conference contest Saturday, when it plays host to the Utah Utes, beginning at 2:30 p.m. PT at Viejas Arena. The game will be shown live on The Mtn. with Tracy Warren (play-by-play) and Andrea Lloyd (analysis) calling the action and is the first of three-straight nationally televised outings for the Aztecs.

SDSU (6-7, 0-1 MWC) is coming off a near miss against preseason league favorite TCU, 49-47, on Wednesday evening. The Aztecs cut a 14-point second-half deficit down to just two points, kept the Horned Frogs to only one field goal in the final six minutes and limited the conference's top offense to more than 20 points below its season scoring average, but still came up just short. The loss is the team's third by just a two-point margin and fifth by 10 points or fewer in 2010-11.

The Utes (8-7, 1-0), meanwhile, posted an easy 77-40 victory over Air Force in Salt Lake City on Wednesday night. Utah has now won each of its last four contests and comes to San Diego with an 8-7 overall record. The visitors are under the command of first-year interim head coach Anthony Levrets and will be without preseason all-league pick Taryn Wicijowski, who suffered a season-ending ACL injury in mid-November.

Saturday's game is Beth Burns' 400th in 14 seasons as head coach of the Aztecs and will feature a live audio call (no video) by Chris Ello, as well as live stats on SDSU's official website, goaztecs.com.
