SDSU Game Notes vs. Washington St. in PDF Format
Dec. 20, 2010
After 28 days and six consecutive outings away from home, the San Diego State women's basketball team finally returns to Viejas Arena for a Tuesday contest against visiting Washington State, beginning at 7 p.m. PT.
Since leaving their home court in November, the Aztecs have gone 4-2 overall, including a 1-1 spilt at this past weekend's Women of Troy Basketball Tournament in Los Angeles. SDSU will play its third game in the last four days and is starting a three-game homestand to round out 2010, as well as its regular season non-conference slate.
Washington State, meanwhile, will be taking on its second consecutive Mountain West Conference opponent after falling at Wyoming, 63-43, on Saturday. The Cougars are 2-9 overall and opened the year with five straight defeats, but boast victories over both Long Beach State and Nevada, which the Aztecs lost to back on Nov. 27, in Reno.
The two sides are meeting for the fourth time and the third occasion in San Diego. The Aztecs won the first two outings, but the Cougars came back to claim the most recent contest, 55-50, in 2004, in a game that was played at Peterson Gym.
San Diego State's second match-up in a row against a Pac-10 Conference team and third overall in 2010-11, features a live webcast on goaztecs.com with Chris Ello, as well as live stats.
