SAN DIEGO -

SDSU Football Future Schedules

San Diego State and Arizona State have agreed to start a home-and-home series in football beginning in 2017, the two schools announced Wednesday.

The Aztecs, who be participating in the 2010 Poinsettia Bowl, will begin the series on the road, traveling to Sun Devil Stadium for a non-conference tilt scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017. The following season, the Sun Devils will make the trip out west and will take on SDSU inside Qualcomm Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018.

The last time the two teams met on the gridiron was in 2007 in Tempe. On that night, the Sun Devils emerged with a 34-13 victory over the Aztecs.

The future series announcement comes just days after San Diego State and Fresno State announced next season's game, which will be played Dec. 3, 2011, at Qualcomm Stadium. The agreement between the longtime foes completed the Aztecs' 2011 non-league slate.

In addition to Fresno State, SDSU will play host to Cal Poly (Sept. 3) and Washington State (Sept. 17), and will travel to Army (Sept. 10) and Michigan (Sept. 24) during its 2011 non-conference season.

Fans can put down a $50 deposit for 2011 San Diego State season tickets by visiting the Aztec Ticket Office at Qualcomm Stadium, Window E or by phone at (619) 283-7378.
