Dec. 13, 2010
SAN DIEGO - San Diego State has completed its 2011 non-conference football schedule with a home game against Fresno State, the two schools announced Monday. The Aztecs will play host to the Bulldogs on Dec. 3, 2011, at Qualcomm Stadium.
SDSU has a 26-20-4 record against Fresno State. The 50 all-time meetings between the two foes are the Aztecs' most against any opponent, and the Dec. 3 game will be the first since Aug. 29, 2002, when Fresno State downed San Diego State, 16-14, in Fresno.
The non-conference contest next season will start an annual series with the California schools, as Fresno State is slated to join the Mountain West Conference in 2012. The Aztecs and Bulldogs played each other every year from 1992-98 as members of the Western Athletic Conference.
In 2011, SDSU will also play host to Cal Poly (Sept. 3) and Washington State (Sept. 17), and will travel to Army (Sept. 10) and Michigan (Sept. 24).
Fans can put down a $50 deposit for 2011 San Diego State season tickets by visiting the Aztec Ticket Office at Qualcomm Stadium, Window E or by phone at (619) 283-7378.
