TEAM NOTES

* No. 11/10 San Diego State improves to 11-0, its best start in 90 seasons of basketball.

* San Diego State now owns the third-longest active winning streak in the nation behind Duke (20) and Cleveland State (12) and is ahead of BYU (10) and Syracuse (10).

* The 11-game winning streak is tied for the second-longest in program history. It ties the 1936-37 squad (media guide page 120).

* SDSU continued a handful of streaks with tonight's victory. The Aztecs have won...
...22 straight home games vs. unranked teams.
...20 straight non-conference home games.
...20 straight vs. unranked teams at any location.
...19 straight December home games.
...10 straight home games overall.

* San Diego State is currently the only 11-0 team in either the Associated Press Top-25 Poll or the ESPN/USA Today Coaches' Poll.

* The 11-game winning streak is tied for the second-longest by any Steve Fisher-coached team. In 1992-93, his Michigan team won 11 in a row before running off 12 straight later that season.

* San Diego State has won 11 consecutive games, not including exhibition contests, vs. teams from the state of California.

* SDSU used just its second starting lineup of the season. Sophomore James Rahon started in place of sophomore Chase Tapley and freshman LaBradford Franklin was inserted into the lineup for sophomore Kawhi Leonard. Both Tapley and Leonard experienced flu-like symptoms.
