KANSAS CITY, Kan - San Diego State senior captain Raymundo Reza (Denver, Colo.) has been named a second-team NSCAA All-Far West Region selection. It is the third postseason honor for the forward after garnering Top Drawer Soccer (third team) and Pac-10 (first team) accolades last month.
Reza led the Aztecs in scoring for the third consecutive season with 18 points on six goals and six assists. He also topped the squad in goals, shots (70), shots on goal (25) and penalty kick goals (3). Reza started the final 55 games of his career, including all 19 this year.
An Aztec has now been named an All-Far West Region pick each of the past six seasons (Tally Hall - 2005-06, Nick Cardenas 2006-09).
SDSU finished the year with a 10-7-2 record and became the first San Diego State 10-win team since 1994 (10-9-0).
