SAN DIEGO - Fewer than 2,000 public tickets remain for Saturday's Mountain West-Missouri Valley Challenge game between Wichita State and No. 17/19 San Diego State. Game time is set for 7 p.m. PT inside Viejas Arena.

The Shockers, preseason favorites to win the Missouri Valley Conference, are 5-1 this season and come into the second-annual MWC-MVC Challenge riding a four-game winning streak. All five of WSU's victories have been by double digits and its lone defeat was an 83-79 loss in Maui to eventual EA Sports Maui Invitational champion Connecticut. David Kyles (14.8 points) is one of three players averaging double figures for Wichita State, which is receiving votes in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches' Top-25 poll.

The Aztecs, meanwhile, are 7-0 on the season after defeating Saint Mary's at home on Wednesday, 69-55. The Gaels came into the contest averaging over 90 points a game and became the 17th straight non-conference opponent to fall to the Aztecs at home, which set a new San Diego State record. Additionally, SDSU carries a 19-game home winning streak against unranked foes.

Tickets are available online, 24 hours a day at GoAztecs.com, are available at the Aztec Ticket Office at Qualcomm Stadium, Window E (open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.) and at the Viejas Arena ticket office (Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. - 6 p.m.; Friday from 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.). On Saturday, the Viejas Arena box office will open at 10:30 a.m., rather than its normal time of noon. Advance purchase of single game tickets is strongly recommended. Current SDSU students, meanwhile, can pick up tickets at no cost by showing a valid RedID at the Viejas Arena ticket office. Students are also encouraged to pick up their tickets early.

Fans that plan on picking up their season tickets at Viejas Arena Saturday night are urged to arrive early as a large crowd is expected.
