SDSU Postgame Notes at No. 3 TCU in PDF Format
TEAM NOTES
-Even with the loss, San Diego State's 7-3 record is its best start in the last 19 seasons (since 1991) and marks the Aztecs' best start to a campaign in the last 14 seasons (since SDSU opened 7-3 in 1996).
-San Diego State finishes 2010 with a 3-3 road record, its best road record since 1998 (3-2) and tied for the best since it went 3-3 in 1999 and 2000.
-With two regular-season games remaining, San Diego State's seven victories this season surpass its win total from the last 11 seasons (since 1998) and match or surpass the win total from the past 13 seasons (since 1996).
-SDSU's 35 points are 12 more than TCU had allowed (23) in its previous six Mountain West Conference games (3.83/g) ... The 35 points scored by the Aztecs are the most TCU has allowed this season.
-SDSU led, 14-0, in the first quarter, its largest lead ever against a top-10 opponent. The previous high was an eight-point advantage at No. 1 Washington on Oct. 2, 1982. Washington won that game, 46-25.
-The 14-0 score was first time this season that TCU had trailed in a game by more than seven points (Oregon State, Sept. 4).
-The 7-0 SDSU lead over TCU was its first over a top-10 team since the Aztecs led, 6-0, at 9th-ranked Ohio State on Sept. 17, 2005. Ohio State won that game 27-6 ... The lead also marked the first time that SDSU had ever led in Fort Worth (third meeting).
-SDSU led, 14-13, after the first quarter, which marked the first time TCU has trailed after a end of a quarter at any time this season.
-SDSU has scored 21 or more points in 11 straight outings. It is the team's longest such streak since a 14-game streak from Nov. 25, 1989 to Sept. 14, 1991.
-With the Brandon Sullivan's first quarter TD, the Aztecs have scored a touchdown in 48 straight games.
-San Diego State had its streak of scoring a touchdown in the second quarter snapped at 10 games.
-SDSU has intercepted a pass in eight consecutive outings for the first time since doing so in 11 straight contests from Dec. 2, 2006 until Nov. 17, 2007.

- Vincent Brown, Senior WR: Had his 11th career 100-yard receiving game with four catches for 167 yards and two scores ... Moved into fourth on the school's all-time receptions list and fifth on the receiving yardage list ... Scored his fourth and fifth receiving touchdowns of the season and 17th and 18th of this career ... Moved into a tie with J.R. Tolver (1999-02) for eighth on the school's all-time receiving touchdown list.
- Ryan Lindley, Junior QB: Threw two touchdown passes and now has 57 for his career ... Moved into second on SDSU's all-time passing yardage list.
- Brandon Sullivan, Senior FB: Has six, one-yard rushing touchdowns in the last three outings (3 at Wyoming, 1 vs. Colorado State, 2 today) ... The six are his first rushing scores of the season and gives him 13 for his career ... Overall has seven touchdowns (six rushing, one receiving) over the past three contests.
- Miles Burris, Junior LB: Recorded his eighth sack of the season and eighth in his last seven games ... Had nine tackles, including two for a loss.
- Rob Andrews, Sophomore LB: Had his first career sack and first career forced fumble.
- Jerome Long, Junior DL: Had his first career fumble recovery and defensive touchdown.
- Andrew Preston, Senior DB: Recorded a season-high 12 tackles.
- DeMarco Sampson, Senior WR: Has caught a pass in 24 consecutive outings.
- Dominique Sandifer, Sophomore WR: Had his first career kickoff return today.
OTHER NOTES
- SDSU scored a defensive touchdown in the first quarter for the first time since Nov. 28, 2009 at UNLV (Luke Laologi 55-yard interception return).
