Hogan Leads Cross Country at NCAA West Regional Meet

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. - Marianne Hogan led the San Diego State cross country team for the sixth time of the season to pace the Aztecs at NCAA West Regional meet at the Springfield Country Club in Springfield, Ore.

Hogan completed the 6,000-meter course in 21 minutes, 36.77 seconds, good enough for 80th of 221 runners.

Hogan's 80th-place finish helped SDSU take 28th of 31 teams. Washington won the meet with 73 points, followed by host Oregon (77), Stanford (86), Arizona (90), California (159) and UC Santa Barbara (159). San Diego State's 788 points were right behind Mountain West Conference foe UNLV (774) and ahead of St. Mary's (833), Hawai'i (880) and Cal State Bakersfield (888).

Sara Beyers took 158th in a time of 22:37.89, while Josefine Koskinen (180th, 23:03.56), Alma Escobar (192nd, 23:15.23), Jordan Davis (207th, 24:00.69) and Amy Brown (218th, 25:08.08) also competed for the Aztecs.
