SENIOR DAY | REGULAR-SEASON FINALE
UNLV (10-6-1; 2-3-1 MWC) at SAN DIEGO STATE (6-9-3; 4-2 MWC)

AZTEC STORY LINES
- San Diego State, coming off a 1-1 weekend, returns home to play host to UNLV on Friday afternoon. The regular-season finale, which is set for 3 p.m. PT, will also double as Senior Day. SDSU will honor its four seniors - Britney Bennett, Michaela DeJesus, Grace Shevlin and Aubree Southwick - prior to them playing their final regular season match on Montezuma Mesa.

- As the league enters the final week of the regular season, many teams are still playing for seeding in next week's Mountain West Conference Championship, which is set for Nov. 3-6 at SDSU Sports Deck. New Mexico (16 points), BYU (13) and San Diego State (12) are all separated by four points or less. Utah (10) and UNLV (7), meanwhile, sit in fourth and fifth place, respectively, with lots to play for.

- SDSU is coming off a 1-1 week in which it won at Utah for the first time since 1998 with its 1-0 victory on Thursday. On Saturday, the Aztecs were on the wrong end of a 1-0 score at No. 13 BYU after being forced to play with 10 players for the final 48:58. San Diego State found itself down a player after goalkeeper Aubree Southwick was issued a red card following a collison with a Cougar player on a 50-50 ball.

- Michaela DeJesus enters the week as the Aztecs' leading scorer after knocking in the game-winner at Utah on a 20-yard free kick. The senior has a team-best four goals and 12 points, and shares the SDSU lead in assists (4) with sophomore Sarah Halverson.

- The Aztecs are looking to send their seniors out with a victory for a second straight season after beating New Mexico a year ago, 3-1. The last time SDSU won two consecutive Senior Day games was in 1996-97. San Diego State enters this year's Senior Day game with an all-time record of 10-9-2 in the final regular-season home match.

- San Diego State has shown great improvement from the non-conference season to the MWC campaign. In 12 non-league games, opponents put 54.0 percent of their shots on goal and scored 1.33 goals. SDSU, on the other hand, had 48.0 percent of their shots come on goal, while averaging less than a goal per game (0.83). In Mountain West play, however, the Aztecs have reversed the trend. Through six league outings, SDSU is putting a higher percentage of shots on goal than its opponents (41.8-35.1) and scoring at a higher clip (1.17-0.67). As a result, San Diego State has more wins (4) in fewer games (6) than it did during the non-conference slate (2).

- Two weeks ago, sophomore keeper Megan Allaire saw her first action in goal, relieving Aubree Southwick in the Wyoming game and playing the final 15:56. Due to unfortunate circumstances at BYU, Allaire was pressed into action and kept the Aztecs in the game while playing the final 48:58. The Walnut, Calif., native blanked the Cougars and made a game-high four saves. Allaire enters this week having not allowed a goal in 64:54 and has five stops to her credit. Prior to this season, Allaire had only one career game under her belt, a 3-minute, 41-second-shutout stint at No. 2 Stanford as a redshirt freshman in 2009.

- San Diego State is 8-7 all-time vs. UNLV and won the last meeting a year ago, 1-0, in Las Vegas. The schools have split the last four meetings, with the Aztecs claiming victories in 2009 and 2006. Prior to that, the Rebels had won five in a row after SDSU took the first six meetings. In games played on Montezuma Mesa, San Diego State owns a 4-2 record vs. UNLV.

- The Aztecs have dropped two matches in conference play this season. Despite the two setbacks, the Aztecs have still won 11 of their last 13 and are unbeaten in 13 of their last 15 vs. the Mountain West.

- San Diego State's freshmen have had a huge impact on the team this season. First-year Aztecs, which includes newcomers, have 17 points (Haley Palmer - 6, Soledad Gomez - 4, Carli Johnson - 4, Kim Carcich - 2, Erskine - 1) for the season, which is 34.7 percent of San Diego State's total points for the year.

- October has been the month where San Diego State has recently played its best soccer. Dating back to a season ago, the Aztecs are 10-2-3 in the month and have won of nine of their last 11.
