San Diego State head women's basketball coach Beth Burns and her staff will play host to the first-ever Basketball 101 on Tuesday, Nov. 9, from 6-8 p.m. at Viejas Arena. The event is designed to teach participants the ins-and-outs of the game of basketball.
The evening will include instruction from the SDSU coaching staff and a reception provided by Claim Jumpers. All proceeds will go toward the Aztec women's basketball scholarship fund.

The Aztec women's basketball squad, which last year won the conference championship and advanced to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen, opens its 2010-11 schedule with an exhibition game on Thursday, Nov. 4, against UC San Diego at 7 p.m. at Viejas Arena. Season tickets are now on sale, starting at just $60. They can be purchased online at www.goaztecs.com, over the phone by calling 619-283-7378, or by visiting the Aztec Ticket Office at Qualcomm Stadium's Window "E." The ticket office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
