2010 Updated Fall Schedule in PDF Format
The San Diego State softball team will play its annual alumni game on Nov. 20 at 1 p.m. PT, head coach Kathy Van Wyk announced today.
The alumni game will be a part of a doubleheader and will follow the Aztecs' exhibition contest against a men's fastpitch team at 11 a.m. PT. The contest culminates a nine-game home fall schedule, which begins Oct. 29 against Southwestern CC (6 p.m. PT).
All alumni please RSVP to assistant coach Mia Longfellow at mlongfellow@mail.sdsu.edu if you will be attending the festivities and/or playing in the game.
Admission to all fall softball events is free and the games do not count towards the 2011 season record.
The 2010 Aztecs finished with a 34-16 record and made an appearance in the NCAA tournament for the third consecutive year and fourth time in the last five campaigns. SDSU went 27-8 in its final 35 games and loses only two senior starters from last year's squad. San Diego State also returns 2010 NFCA All-American pitcher Samantha Beasley, who ranked seventh in the nation with a 1.20 ERA and recorded a school-record 354 strikeouts.
