SAN DIEGO - The Mountain West Conference men's and women's basketball media days will take place Tuesday, October 12, and Wednesday, October 13, respectively, from The Mtn. studios in Denver, Colo.
SDSU men's head coach Steve Fisher and women's head coach Beth Burns will be featured in videos from the two-day MWC event, which can be viewed at TheMWC.com.
Fans are encouraged to log onto TheMWC.com and participate in the annual get-together. The website will feature live updates, videos and photos throughout the two-day event. Fans can also submit questions to Fisher and Burns. Select questions from fans will be included in one-on-one interviews with the coaches.
Mick McGrane, the MWC Correspondent, will provide reports as they come in from media day on the official blog of the Mountain West, "Inside the MWC." Live updates and photos will also be available via the MWC's Twitter and Facebook pages.
A contest will also be conducted on the conference's official Facebook page. Fans will have the opportunity to submit their favorite MWC men's or women's basketball memory. Stories with the most votes will win autographed MWC basketballs, signed by all nine men's and women's head coaches.
The Mtn. will broadcast the men's and women's preview shows at 8 p.m. PT on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively. The network will also produce three shows with the conference's head coaches, which will air later in the month.
