Final Tournament Results in PDF Format 
San Diego State junior Malin Enarsson (Gothenburg, Sweden) posted a final round 73 to finish the first tournament of the 2010-11 season in a tie for third place overall at 4-under 215 Saturday at the 31st annual Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M. As a team, the Aztecs dropped from a tie for second after 36 holes into seventh with a 309 over the final 18, ending up 24-over 900. The seventh-place finish is five spots better that its performance at the same event in 2009 (12th), which was also played at the par-73, 6,187-yard University of New Mexico Championship Course.
Enarsson shot an even-par 73 in the final round with two birdies, 14 pars and two bogeys. The junior did not have a double bogey or worse the entire tournament and led the entire 92-player field in par-4 scoring at 1-under. Enarsson tied with day one leader Therese Koelbaek of UNLV for third place, four strokes behind medalist Erica Omlid of Oregon, who was at 8-under 211, including a final round 69.
Aztec sophomore Christine Wong (Richmond, B.C.) struggled in the final round of the Dick McGuire for the second year in a row, logging six bogeys, a double bogey and only one birdie en route to an 80, which dropped her from fifth to 19th with a two-day total of 223.
Senior Stephanie Arcala (Oceanside, Calif.) had SDSU's second-best round of the day with a 3-over 76, including a team-high three birdies, to tie for 33rd place with an 8-over 227. Sophomore Gina Clark (Palm Desert, Calif.), who was competing individually, was three strokes behind Arcala with a 230, while transfers Rebecca Schneider (Cave Creek, Ariz.) and Alessia Knight (Bologna, Italy) rounded out the Aztec contingent in 79th and 86th place, respectively.
Oregon rallied with a 2-under par round to claim the team title at 5-over 881, two strokes better than first-round leader Ohio State.
San Diego State will take a few weeks off before competing in the Windy City Invitational in Illinois, Oct. 4-5.
