The second set saw the Gaels take the lead for good at 4-3 and they built their advantage over the course of the game to eventually claim a 10-point victory. York had seven kills and hit .778 in the set to help lead her side to a 2-0 lead going into the break.
St. Mary's came out for the third set and took control from the opening serve as it jumped out to a 5-0 lead before the Aztecs could get on the board. SDSU was only able to get within three points twice over the remainder of the set as the Gaels wrapped up the match on kills by Jolly and Natalie Loos.
