SAN DIEGO - San Diego State Head Coach Mike Shrader has announced the signing of three additional swimmers to National Letter of Intents for the 2010-2011 season. The trio is headlined by two swimmers with extensive international competitive experience as Kelly Marquenie and Olivia Sefton have chosen to join the Aztecs for the 2010 season.

Marquenie is a member of the Pro-MA Miami Swim Team from the Gold Coast, Australia. She is coached by Dennis Cotterell, who has served as a coach on the Australian National Team.

Marquenie top times include 57.43 LCM in the 100 free, 2:01.19 LCM in the 200 free, 4:13.96 LCM in the 400 free and 8:43.64 LCM in the 800 free. She will help bolster the Aztecs' middle distance and distance freestyle events as she joins a group of freestyle swimmers that during the 2010 season won conference championships in the 200, 500, 1650 freestyle events as well as the 800 Free relay.

Olivia Sefton, who hails from Nottingham, United Kingdom, is a butterfly specialist who will make an immediate impact for the Aztecs. She has recorded personal best times of 1:01.68 LCM in the 100 fly and 2:14.13 LCM in the 200 fly

SDSU's third spring signee is Natalie Meltzer, a breaststroke specialist form San Ramon, CA, where she has competed for Rich Thornton of San Ramon Valley Livermore Aquatics. Meltzer is a breaststroke specialist and will compete primarily in the 100 and 200 breaststroke for the Aztecs after earning NISCA/Speedo Girls High School All-America honors in the 100 breast as a junior with a best time of 1:05.16 that season.

These three spring signees join SDSU's fall recruiting class made up of Jordan Devine, Hattie Lamping, Mikaela Macklin, Berklie Oscarson, Lauren Parrett, Ana Steiner and Taylor Yamagata. The 10 athletes comprise another stellar recruiting class for third-year head coach Mike Shrader and the Aztec swimming and diving team.

The 2009-10 Aztecs compiled the No. 4-ranked recruiting class in the country by collegeswimming.com and are coming off of a third-place finish at the MWC championships and a 42nd place finish at the 2010 NCAA championships.
