SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State athletic department released the promotional schedule for the 2010 football season today, highlighted by the KGB SkyShow on Sept. 25 against Utah State. This will mark the seventh straight year an Aztec football game has played host to the city's largest fireworks display and is annually one of the largest attended sporting events in San Diego.

San Diego State has promotional events in conjunction with the six Saturday home games for Brady Hoke's second season with the Aztecs. In addition to SkyShow, the third annual replica jersey giveaway is scheduled, as well as Homecoming Weekend, Hall of Fame festivities and other events. Season tickets are currently on sale, starting at just $56 for all six games. Interested fans should call the San Diego State ticket office at (619) 283-7378.

The Aztecs open the 2010 campaign at home on Sept. 4 against Nicholls State. It marks the first regular-season game in 2010 at Qualcomm Stadium and will also coincide with SDSU football alumni weekend.

Following two consecutive road games, San Diego State returns to Qualcomm Stadium for the KGB SkyShow and a contest against Utah State. The weekend is also designated as SDSU Family Weekend, with many events scheduled around campus for students and their families.

The Aztecs host their first Mountain West Conference opponent on Oct. 16, when Air Force comes to town. The game against the Falcons is the annual homecoming contest and also serves as the annual GEICO Fleet Week Classic contest.

After a pair of road games, San Diego State returns home for the first of three contests at Qualcomm Stadium during the month of November. The Aztecs will face Colorado State on Nov. 6. It is Hall of Fame Weekend, as the newest members of the Aztec Hall of Fame Presented by the Wise Foundation will be honored during the game.

The Aztecs close out the regular season with a pair of home games. On Nov. 20, San Diego State faces perennial national power Utah. This marks the third consecutive season that the Aztecs will be giving away a replica jersey of one of the all-time great Aztecs. In the past, replica jerseys have included Marshall Faulk (2008) and Brian Sipe (2009). This season, the honor goes to two-time All-American and current Jacksonville Jaguar linebacker Kirk Morrison. The first 20,000 fans in attendance for the Utah game will receive a free Kirk Morrison replica San Diego State jersey, courtesy of the Associated Students.

San Diego State closes out the regular season on Nov. 27 against UNLV with Senior Night ceremonies taking center stage.

Single game tickets go on sale in July.
