MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The San Diego State men's tennis team dropped a 4-0 decision to 17th-ranked Oklahoma at the Blue-Gray National Tennis Classic at Lagoon Park Tennis Center in Montgomery, Ala. The loss drops the Aztecs to 2-9 on the season.

In doubles play, SDSU's top tandem of Juan Gomez and Luis Rattenhuber defeated Andrei Daescu and Costin Paval, 8-5, at the No. 1 position. Unfortunately for the Aztecs, their other two doubles teams could not overcome their Sooner counterparts as OU took the doubles point and the early lead.

In singles, San Diego State's lone nationally ranked player, No. 98 Juan Gomez, took on 20th-ranked Andrei Daescu and could not figure out OU's top rated athlete. Gomez wound up losing the match in 6-3, 6-3 fashion.

Trailing 2-0 in the match, SDSU dropped matches at Nos. 5 and 6 and Oklahoma emerged with the 4-0 win. With the outcome already decided, contests at Nos. 2, 3 and 4 were abandoned.

The Aztecs return to action on Friday, March 19, when they take on No. 66 South Florida at 8:30 a.m. CT.
